My name is Wes Murph, and I own The Studly Pooch, a high-end pet salon in Hermosa Beach.

Thank you for taking a look at my website and I am especially interested in us becoming work associates.

You see, my salon has grown tremendously in the past 6 months and I’m having a ‘heck of a time’ finding nice, reliable help.

The Southwest Airlines Style

Before we get into what positions are available, I need to tell you a story.

Several years ago, I read a copy of a book called “Nuts – The Southwest Airlines Way”.

Sounds weird but this book taught me one thing.

This ‘thing’ is what Southwest Airlines does to get nice, reliable people committed to making air travel safe and enjoyable.

What’s That One Thing?

Simple – they hire someone with a good attitude and they train that person with skills. That’s right. Southwest believes (as I do) that you can teach skills but you CAN’T, and I repeat CAN’T teach a good attitude.

What’s This Mean To You?

That I’m looking for nice, professional, reliable people like you. Well - I’m guessing if you’ve read this far you’re the type of person I’m looking for. So here’s what you can do.

The Following Positions Are What I’m Hiring…

1. Bather – Blow Dryer. No experience necessary. A love and concern for animals is a must. Also, must be able to lift 50 pounds and enjoy getting wet.
2. Apprentice Groomer. I’m training for this position. You will need your own equipment and a desire to learn. Call me for more details.
3. Master Groomer. I would enjoy meeting anyone that already has the skills as a pet stylist. Fill out an application and call me for an interview.
